Beauty and aesthetic medicine in the UK

Traditionally the UK market has been split into either beauty therapy in salons or performed by mobile therapists, or cosmetic surgery performed in hospitals or specialist clinics. Basically this means that beauty treatments occupy the very lowest base of the pyramid, whereas cosmetic surgery occupies the very pinnacle of the pyramid – missing out the huge centre of the pyramid.

It is this middle area or the pyramid that is currently the object of interest to practitioners, the public as well as the media. There is a lot of question as to:
  • who can do what
  • who is insured for what
  • what regulations and training they have to have
  • in what premises they can be done
Several years ago we recognised this problem and hence launched Bella VouŽ. Initially just one clinic within a larger medical clinic with an international reputation for research and practice in veins, Bella VouŽ is growing as a concept and brand that can be licensed under the idea of “Where Beauty meets MedicineŽ”.

We believe that the phrase, “Where Beauty meets MedicineŽ“ encapsulates the whole of the concept of Bella VouŽ and hence this has become our registered trademark.

Each Bella VouŽ clinic can offer a selection of different procedures and treatments, depending on the specialities of the people involved, what the requirements of their local population are and also what the latest research has shown to be effective.

What each Bella VouŽ has in common though, is that there is either a doctor or dentist associated with the business to ensure a professional and medical input - as well as qualified therapists and/or aesthetic nurses who work hand in glove with their colleagues to provide a professional service of the highest possible standards.
